This dessert reminds me of my aunt Zosia 🙂 She always made a creamy jello cake called “ptasie mleczko”, which translates to bird’s milk. It was always smooth, sweet and fluffy like a cloud.
So, this Labor Day I decided to make a red, white and blue version and serve it in cups topped with whipped cream, raspberries and blueberries! Turned out to be the perfect dessert for a hot, sunny day 🙂
Layered creamy Jell-o cups

1 can sweetened condensed milk
1 3oz package raspberry Jell-o
1 3oz package berry blue Jell-o
2 envelopes unflavored gelatine (0.5 oz in total)
½ cup cold water
4 cups boiling water
whipped cream
½ pint blueberries
1 6oz pack of raspberries
Directions
- Using an electric mixer, whisk the condensed milk on high speed for about 5 minutes. It will become lighter in color and when done it will measure about 1 ½ cups.
- Red layer
- Mix raspberry Jell-o packet with 1 ½ cups boiling water and let cool down to room temperature.
- When completely cool, add ½ cup of the whisked sweetened condensed milk.
- Place cups in an egg container slanted and pour â…“ cup of the rasperry mixture into each. Throw in 3-4 raspberries (optional). Refrigerate until set, about 15 minutes.
- White layer
- Sprinkle gelatine over ½ cup cool water and let stand 1 min.
- Add 1 cup boiling water and stir until the gelatine is completely dissolved. Let cool down to room temperature.
- When completely cool, add ½ cup of the whisked sweetened condensed milk.
- Once the raspberry layer is set, gently pour â…“ cup of the white mixture on top of the first layer. Refrigerate until set, about 15 minutes.
- Blue layer
- Mix berry blue Jell-o packet with 1 ½ cups boiling water and let cool down to room temperature.
- When completely cool, add ½ cup of the whisked sweetened condensed milk.
- Once the white layer is set, gently pour â…“ cup of the blue mixture on top of the second layer. Throw in a couple blueberries (optional). Refrigerate until set, about 15 minutes.
- Top with whipped cream, raspberries and blueberries. Enjoy 🙂
