1 ½ lbs brussel sprouts
4 slices (about 6 oz) peppered bacon
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon garlic powder
Directions
- Preheat your oven to 400 degrees F.
- Wash and pat dry the brussel sprouts (if you want them to turn out crispy make sure they are dry before moving forward).
- Trim the end of each brussel sprout and remove yellow leaves. Slice vertically.
- Chop up the bacon.
- Toss the brussel sprouts, bacon, olive oil, salt and garlic powder into a bowl and stir until evenly coated.
- Roast in the oven for 30-35 minutes. You can shake the pan halfway through to ensure the brussel sprouts brown evenly.
Notes
- If you’re not a pepper fan, plain bacon will work just fine!
- If you don’t have peppered bacon handy, simply add ½ tablespoon pepper and plain bacon into the bowl and mix with all the other ingredients.
